im so glad april is over

so where to begin Jake has been walking for about a month and a half now he gets into everything, he even is starting to pick on Corbin. he has the cutest smile and laugh , and he has already learned how to lay down and throw a tantrum. we love him so very much and are so blessed that he has joined are family this has been a amazing journey this past year
happy first birthday Jake
the past few weeks have been pretty crazy for me and Aaron the week before Easter Aaron got a bump on his arm and it wasn't going away or getting any better and then two days later i got a bump the next day April 19 we went to a urgent care. they tester me for staph and it come back positive so they sent us both home with meds for mrsa. so we waited and two days passed with no improvement so called back the urgent care and they told us to come back, we chose to go to st marks, er for treatment (must i say big mistake) they lanced Aaron off his arm and for me they poked mine with a needle five times and only blood came. out there advice for me was to go see my ob the next day.i was in so much pain the not even the pain meds wouldn't take the pain away and i could barley even walk. so the next day we went to an ob who looked at mine and then went and got his intern. that was the last time i saw that Dr, his intern handled the rest he said we had mrsa and that we both needed to go the the university hospital right away.so once we got there were we separated i was at the ob clinic and Aaron was and another with a plastic surgeon. we had no idea what was happening to each other.
Aaron almost lost is right arm muscle but they cough it in time the e.r. Dr. didn't get all the infection out so it kept spreading. he was hospitalized on the 5th floor
fir me i had surgery later that night to remove mine i was hospitalized on the 2nd floor . the nurses and Dr had to have there full protective gear on to enter are room we had sighs on are doors that said no visitors. at the time we needed each other the most for comfort we were separated. Aaron could come see me a few hours a day he had to wear special gear as well.
i have never had an experience like this before, i never realized that what we had was life threatening and that we are so grateful we caught it in time.
it was nice knowing that are boys were save with grandma and papa moose and Julie i thank them so much i do have the best in-laws ever.
and Steven and Kari who watched them for us all day that Friday and for coming giving me and Aaron blessing Kari even put in a special word for the o.r. to take good care of me.
recovery is been much better lately, i truly hope we never have to go through this again
