im so glad april is over

so where to begin Jake has been walking for about a month and a half now he gets into everything, he even is starting to pick on Corbin. he has the cutest smile and laugh , and he has already learned how to lay down and throw a tantrum. we love him so very much and are so blessed that he has joined are family this has been a amazing journey this past year
happy first birthday Jake
the past few weeks have been pretty crazy for me and Aaron the week before Easter Aaron got a bump on his arm and it wasn't going away or getting any better and then two days later i got a bump the next day April 19 we went to a urgent care. they tester me for staph and it come back positive so they sent us both home with meds for mrsa. so we waited and two days passed with no improvement so called back the urgent care and they told us to come back, we chose to go to st marks, er for treatment (must i say big mistake) they lanced Aaron off his arm and for me they poked mine with a needle five times and only blood came. out there advice for me was to go see my ob the next day.i was in so much pain the not even the pain meds wouldn't take the pain away and i could barley even walk. so the next day we went to an ob who looked at mine and then went and got his intern. that was the last time i saw that Dr, his intern handled the rest he said we had mrsa and that we both needed to go the the university hospital right away.so once we got there were we separated i was at the ob clinic and Aaron was and another with a plastic surgeon. we had no idea what was happening to each other.
Aaron almost lost is right arm muscle but they cough it in time the e.r. Dr. didn't get all the infection out so it kept spreading. he was hospitalized on the 5th floor
fir me i had surgery later that night to remove mine i was hospitalized on the 2nd floor . the nurses and Dr had to have there full protective gear on to enter are room we had sighs on are doors that said no visitors. at the time we needed each other the most for comfort we were separated. Aaron could come see me a few hours a day he had to wear special gear as well.
i have never had an experience like this before, i never realized that what we had was life threatening and that we are so grateful we caught it in time.
it was nice knowing that are boys were save with grandma and papa moose and Julie i thank them so much i do have the best in-laws ever.
and Steven and Kari who watched them for us all day that Friday and for coming giving me and Aaron blessing Kari even put in a special word for the o.r. to take good care of me.
recovery is been much better lately, i truly hope we never have to go through this again

videoCorbin loves music these days and he has to have it loud just like his dad. when were driving in the car he tells me mom i want it loud.

but not only does he love music he has his favorite songs Bruno mars song called just the way you are, and Justin bieber baby baby

free day

i love good deals and last Thursday on st.Patrick's day. the gateway discovery had free admission. i couldn't miss this deal, it was way busy but the kids loved it.

everything was going great until in there toddler area Jake decided he wanted to stand and hit his month on the edge of a bid wooden boat. i hate blood and it went every where. my only question is why would they put a wooden boat in the baby area don't they know babies can hurt themselves on anything.

lets hope next free day will be better

this is the video of jake playing with his toys
video

MONSTER JAM

it is very hard to get both boys it a picture and smiling, this was kinda turned out. Jake is at the stage where he likes to get Corbin and Corbin like to be mean to him so they both have scratches and red marks from being mean to each other . the joys of having boys!

Jake has a basketball and football that he loves he gets so excited when he finds them its the cutest thing to watch, i will have to post a video of it soon.

every year we take Corbin to see monster trucks. Corbin loves grave digger aka(bone digger)and monster jam is the only event he comes to so we had to go. i only wish it was outside the trucks just cant do as much inside, and it stinks but in the end seeing Corbin get so excited was the best. these are some memories i hope he will always remember.

super hero day

Corbin had invited to a super hero birthday party they had to come dressed as super hero's. so me being cheap, i knew that Corbin already had a batman shirt and at the d.i. i found Batman's belt so all i needed was a cape, and thanks to my mother in law she helped me make him one. we spent a few days on making his cape and as soon as we got to the birthday party he took it off. i guess he now has a Halloween costume to wear.

my superman (Jacob)

Mr. batman (Corbin)

and in other news Jake is now 91/2 months at his 9 month check up. he weighted 24 pounds and 13 ounces.
he is in the 95 percentile for everything. he loves eating and he crawls everywhere he has the cutest laugh and giggle.
